Internet Explorer 8 will start showing up the third week of April for Windows
users running Windows XP and Vista.
Microsoft is planning a phased rollout, so you might not get the update
right away. This is an update that Realtors may not want to do right away.
Since most MLS systems have strict guidelines, most Realtors will need to wait before upgrading to Internet Explorer 8. For now, you will need to stick with your current version until your MLS system begins to support version 8. You can contact your local MLS Help Desk to see if Internet Explorer 8 is supported, although this will probably take them some time.
The update will be rolling out soon and will prompt you to update to version 8. Be sure to click "Don't Install" when the Internet Explorer update page appears on your PC. For the tech savvy group, you can download a small
file (via Microsoft) that will automatically block IE8 from installing.
Bottom line, do not install Internet Explorer 8 until your MLS supports it.
